Leading UK Clinical Specialists

At Technology in Motion, we specialise in improving the quality of people’s lives through biomechanical assessment and corrective orthoses. Using a range of carefully selected devices, our expert orthotist specialists work hard to provide each and every person with the right solutions to suit their requirements, lifestyle, and budget.

We strive to be the best in all that we do, and as our name suggests, we are committed to keeping up with the latest technological advancements in the orthotics industry. Led by our head office in Leeds, we have clinics throughout the UK to ensure that each of our clients has easy access to the best assessment and treatment. All of our clinicians are professionals within their field and regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Our Orthoses

Led by Steve Mottram MBAPO and Sandie Waddell MAPO, respected Orthotist Specialists and the UK’s leading clinicians in the field of flat head syndrome correction, we provide custom and off-the-shelf treatments for a wide range of conditions, including:
• Flat head syndrome (plagiocephaly and brachycephaly)
• Foot drop and flat feet
• Paralysis of the knee, foot, and ankle muscles
• Joint-related problems, e.g. osteoarthritis
• Sports injuries, e.g. torn knee ligaments

We only supply what we consider to be the best orthoses from the most reputable manufacturers, including Invent Medical, Ossur, DonJoy, and Medi.

Having worked in the field of flat head syndrome since 2003, we developed the much-acclaimed TiMbandAir™ treatment, a unique cranial remoulding helmet, in 2010. This is being worn by over 150 infants at any one time and has been used to treat thousands of babies to date.

Our Promise

We take an honest and ethical to approach to all that we do, and none of our Orthotists will recommend treatment unless it’s needed. You will be kept informed about pricing from the outset, with no unpleasant surprises when the time comes to pay.

Where results are measurable (e.g. correction of flat head syndrome), we’ll provide you with detailed reports so that you can monitor the progress of your treatment.

Our ultimate goal is to help people live their lives to the fullest, whether that means having a head shape that is accepted by peers, returning to a favourite sport, or simply continuing with one’s day-to-day activities.
