Jenson’s Story

Jenson Bayliss-Hardy’s family noticed a flatness in his head at around 4 months old. They had a close friend whose little boy also had a flatness to his head and recommended the family book a consultation at Technology in Motion, just as they had done.

At the consultation, the severity of the flatness was 98% cranial with 11 asymmetry and categorised as brachycephaly. Alison, Jenson’s mother said, “we didn’t realise how severe his head was but felt like it was the right thing to do, we were just a little worried for how he would be, but also knew it was short term wear for a long term solution”. Over the hot days in summer, the family found it the hardest as they were concerned Jenson would get too hot in his TiMband. However, Jenson took to the helmet really well overall, even in the heat.

After seeing the end result at 10 months old, having started the treatment at 6 months old, the family are delighted with the results. Alison added “we thought that it was only slight but now we’ve seen how round his head is, we know we made the right decision as it was flatter than we thought it could be. We are so happy!” If you are concerned that your child may be showing signs of flat head syndrome, please call us on 0330 100 1800 to book a free pre-assessment at your nearest clinic.
