Mr Steve Mottram, Managing Director of Technology in Motion and Medical Expert Witness, has been in continual practice and management since qualifying as an Orthotist in 1981. He offers Medico Legal Services to the legal and insurance professions.
Steve has previously managed both private and NHS orthotic services. With extensive experience in product management and development, he has successfully introduced several new products and services to the UK.
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and active member of the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO). He has been a member of the Association’s Executive Committee since 2003, as well as a Chair of the Profession from 2008 to 2010 and 2013 to 2013.
Steve has a thorough understanding and detailed experience in all aspects of orthotic management, including:

• Biomechanical Assessment and Treatment, including Foot Orthotists
• Lower Limb Orthoses
• Orthotic Spinal Management
• Plagiocephaly Treatment for Infants
In addition, Mr Mottram has experience in departmental change management and has been invited to present at professional conferences, both in the UK and internationally, on differing aspects of orthotic practice.
He has achieved Cardiff University Bond Salon (CUBS) certification as an Expert Witness and has the necessary qualifications and understanding to act under the Medical Legal Experts practice on behalf of either side or as a joint witness.
All of Steve’s medical expert witness reports are prepared in accordance with the Civil Procedure Rules and comprehensively cover the requirements of the court.
