Ligament Knee Bracing
Technology in Motion regularly deals with treatment of knee ligament injusries such as an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) rupture whether this has been surgically repaired or not. Our Orthotists are specialists in their field and expert in managing all types of ligament bracing.
The knee has four main ligaments which can be strained or torn from unnatural loading. The most commonly ruptured ligament is the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) which can be injured during a high or low energy impact or fall where the lower limb is forced into external rotation resulting in an injury.Depending on age and activity, a surgeon may decide to surgically repair or to leave the knee as it is and recommend physiotherapy to strengthen the controlling muscles around the knee.
In either case, if the knee remains unstable or you wish to return to sport and provide protection for the knee, our ligament braces offer unparalleled support and control. This protects against further injury in high risk situations, protecting previously damaged ligaments whether or not they have been surgically repaired.
Technology in Motion's range of ligament knee braces can be found on our website and all are available through our clinics.
