Our History

Technology in Motion was established in 1993 to provide expertise in the supply of high quality orthopaedic braces and supports for all injuries and conditions under the guidance of qualified registered clinicians.

Originally focusing on helping people with knee ligament injuries return to their chosen sport with confidence, Technology in Motion progressed its services to provide a fully operational orthotic clinic and biomechanical gait laboratory. With increased demand for this specialist service, Technology in Motion has expanded its operational facilities with the opening of centres in  Bristol, Coventry, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow.

In December 2005, Technology in Motion became a wholly owned subsidiary of Össur, one of the world’s fastest growing orthopaedic & prosthetic companies.

Committed to innovation and technological advancement our one aim is to 'Improve People's Lives' by being the best at what we do. Technology in Motion chooses and provides only the most appropriate and best products for our patients and customers. Our clinics stock a wide range of products to cater for most types of patient referrals. Each clinic carries an extensive inventory of stock products, enabling a one stop service for the patient’s convenience. Should a patient’s condition necessitate a custom made device, these are manufactured to order at the highest standard.

In July 2011 the Company once again became an independent, based in Leeds offering the full range of braces and supports to help our customers to regain or extend their independence.
